Human Resources Manager
Reporting to the Div Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Mgr. (HRM) serves as the human resources manager for all staff and student human resources activities within the Emory Libraries; in addition, providing human resources assistance and counsel to the Carlos Museums staff. The HRM functions as a human resources generalist with responsibility for recruitment, staffing and employment for staff and librarian positions (approx. 240) including the direct supervison of 1-2 FTE.
Information Desk Associate (Part-time)
Reporting to the Library Information Desk Coordinator, the Information Desk Associate is responsible for maintaining the order and appearance of library collections, especially the book and journal stacks. Primary duties include accurately shelving library materials, ensuring that stacks and study areas are neat and orderly, participating in Library closing procedures, assisting library users in locating materials, collecting, and compiling statistics to represent stacks activities. This position will assist in monitoring library spaces for compliance with university established protocols.
Senior Resource Description Specialist
Reporting to the Head of Resource Description, the Resource Description Specialist (Sr) provides original and complex adaptive cataloging for print European- and English-language materials in all subject areas and for all material and media types and participates in authority work. The Resource Description Specialist (Sr) may perform batch loading and batch editing of bibliographic records.
E-Resources Acquisitions Specialist, Sr.
Performs complex resources management operations (e.g. acquisitions, serials or preparing materials for binding), using specialized knowledge of the book trade, online databases, microcomputer applications, complex reference tools, and/or foreign languages.
Library Information Desk Coordinator
Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Information Desk related initiatives/projects. Assists in developing long-term objectives and strategies. Performs research and administrative duties; identifies developments and keeps abreast of factors that may affect the long-term viability of the Information Desk. May develop various communications materials/methodologies such as newsletter articles, memos, videos, workshops, brochures, digital signage, and focus groups. Prepares various operational and statistical reports. May supervise or provide direction to staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
