Kim Collins leads the Research, Engagement, and Scholarly Communications division, which includes Collection Management, Instruction and Engagement, Assessment, Research Data, Scholarly Communications, as well as three subject librarian teams (Humanities, International Area Studies, and Science & Social Science) and the Goizueta Business Library.
Kim Collins also supports the library needs of the art history department and the curators of the Michael C. Carlos Museum. Before joining Emory’s Robert W. Woodruff Library in 2000, she worked in the museum field (NGA, DC and the High Museum of Art).
Kim is an active member of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) and an ARL Intensive Learning Program (ILP) alum.
Current interests revolve around engagement. How can subject librarians design collaborative services that meet the evolving needs of researchers and scholars? How can libraries better support research, scholarship, publishing, and learning? How can division members partner with teams across the library (e.g. Rose Library, Core Services, Emory Center for Digital Scholarship, Resource Description, etc.) and across the campus to advance student flourishing and faculty success?
