The Emory University Libraries & Information Technology and the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library announce a new faculty development opportunity related to teaching excellence at Emory University. The Rose Library Faculty Teaching Fellowship provides instructional and financial support to faculty who wish to develop a new course or redesign an existing course which makes significant and regular use of the collections and resources within the Rose Library.
The Rose Library currently offers a robust menu of services and support to faculty across the University, but the Faculty Teaching Fellowship will train faculty on how to effectively teach with archives. Through monthly workshops and consultations, the program will provide faculty with an intense period to develop their courses including research within the collections, archives assignment design, and session planning with the support of their cohort members and archives staff.
The deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 16, 2019. The selection committee will review applications and notify applicants by Friday, November 8, 2019.
